🩸 IRON INFUSIONS | THE IV LOUNGE
Feeling constantly exhausted, weak, breathless, dizzy or struggling with concentration? Low iron or iron deficiency can have a significant impact on how you feel day to day.
For some people, oral iron simply isn’t enough. This can be particularly relevant for people with coeliac disease, a history of gastric bypass/bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal absorption difficulties, heavy menstrual bleeding, or those with confirmed iron deficiency who have not responded adequately to oral supplementation.
At The IV Lounge, iron infusions are provided following appropriate clinical assessment and review of your recent blood results. Intravenous iron delivers iron directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract and allowing iron stores to be replenished when IV treatment is clinically appropriate.
Who may benefit? • Confirmed iron deficiency or low ferritin
• Iron-deficiency anaemia
• Coeliac disease or malabsorption
• Previous gastric bypass/bariatric surgery
• Heavy menstrual bleeding
• Difficulty tolerating oral iron
• Inadequate response to oral iron
🩺 Your safety comes first.
Recent haemoglobin (Hb) and ferritin results are required and each client is assessed individually to determine whether an iron infusion is appropriate. Iron infusions are medical treatments and, like all medicines, can cause side effects or reactions, so they must be administered with appropriate clinical supervision.
